Meet the Director

Golsa Yaghoobi

is a painter and printmaker based in the Detroit metropolitan area, whose work reflects a sustained commitment to observation, material, and the discipline of drawing and painting. She holds a BFA with a focus in Graphic Design and Animation, and an MFA in Painting and Printmaking, with a minor in Web Design.

Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States and is held in private collections internationally, including in the United States, Iran, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Czech Republic, and the United Arab Emirates.

Alongside her studio practice, she teaches foundation studies at Wayne State University and the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. She also maintains a private studio, where she offers a limited number of carefully considered lessons, providing individualized instruction in drawing and painting for dedicated students seeking a deeper engagement with the visual arts.
